Let's Play Takoma Week

September 18, 2017

Pat Rumbaugh, aka The Play Lady, launched "Let's Play Takoma Week" this past Sunday, 09/18/2017, at Capital City Cheesecake.

Families, community residents, volunteers, Takoma Park Police Department and Mayor Kate Stewart came out to kick off the week with classic childhood board games and festivities.

For those who are not familiar with Pat Rumbaugh, she lives in Takoma Park and in 2009 she founded a play committee to help encourage her community to play.   That same year, Takoma Park was named A Playful City USA by the national nonprofit www.kaboom.org and has been one ever since.
